If used with direct deposit, refunds arrive in as little as 10 days. IRS Free File has been proven to increase the accuracy of tax returns and helps users through every step of the filing process. Free Taxpayers with a 2011 Adjusted Gross Income of $57,000 or less qualify for IRS Free File. They can use the best tax preparation software – at absolutely no cost. There’s no preparation cost or other fees. It’s all online, and it’s all free.
